The route is starting to take shape. We will leave on July 13 and head to Rapid City. On the way to Rapid City we can ride through Badlands National Park and the Black Hills National Forest.
The next stop looks like Yellowstone's Grand Loop and then on to San Jose for July 18 on the beach with Brad. San Jose will be our rest stop where we can clean up, eat some of my sisters cooking and get the bikes checked out.
From San Jose we will head to Yosemite and onto the Loneliest Road in America (across Navada). We will connect with the Grand Canyon Loop and Hoover Dam.
After the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon it will be time to head back to Charlotte and will most probably be a straight run on I-40. We will be approximately 1,700 miles from home. The total trip will be approximately 6,000 miles.
