Day 9 Tahoe to Wendover, NV 478 miles

Well this will be a short post from my Blackberry.

Although the campsite says it has Wifi I cannot get connected.

Today we ran I-80 for most of the day. The only good thing about I-80 was you could set the cruise control at 90 and sit back for hours. Once you have seen the first 10 miles of I-80 you have seen the rest of it.

We are overlooking the Bonneville Salt Flats. It is is an amazing site and tomorrow we are all going to "take a run". I will take pictures and post as soon as I can.

For all of you posting comments - thanks. It is fun to read them. Also there is no truth to the rumor that Pete and I are planning a trip across Canada in January.

We will head North to Yellowstone tomorrow (after the run across the flats).

90 MPH ??? Surely you are joking!! Not even with four wheels on the ground unless it's on an oval .... go fast on the flats; go a bit slower on the interstates. I am still in awe of the whole trip !! Some of us dream of doing things like this .. then ya'll come along and DO THEM !!! How cool is that??? Stay safe, drive with care, watch each other's back -- and return in good health. Post pictures so we can all experience vicariously ...

Please bring me back a pot of "fleur de Sel" from the Salt Lake. It will save me a trip to Sur La Table and $10.00. MOM
