I could move to Bozeman in a second. Great little town, next to Yellowstone, and Christy. What more could you ask for?
Anyway, July 4th Update.
I awoke to a very interesting thought. I had put the butt on some 18 hours ago and, as you will see from the short video clip it had been smoking away. All our fellow campers had stopped by to see what time lunch was going to be.
Two days before I had bought Christy bear spry...
Let those two things sink in for a moment.
Smoking butt and bear country...
Well, the butt was still there and I brought the temperature back up and made coffee. Around 11:00 Cathy and I removed it after 23 ours of smoke. It rested for a couple of hours and was delicious. Well worth it.
Took Sawyer for a walk and some ball time.
The campsite had free ice cream at 7:00 pm for all campers. As I talked to my fellow campers and learned about all the places they had traveled to I was reminded about my trip through Wyoming when we came across a couple of ladies selling ticks so they could send one person on a Washington field trip (July 24th 2006 post). The generosity and pure Americana of the people was humbling.
For the record: Local ice cream, local caramel topping, crumbled cookies, M&M's...
We are heading to Mt Rushmore. We will camp tonight and visit tomorrow morning. Then we will continue our eastern trek.
