After a memorable 3 full, action packed days in Bozeman we are on I90 heading east. We had to make a detour around Livingston MT because of the high wind warnings. All the trucks were pulling off heeding the warnings so we followed. The real advantage of this detour was a quick stop at a remote coffee shop for some advice and coffee. The advice was free and accurate, the thermos of coffee was $2. You can learn to love the simple life.
Bozeman is a great town. Not a city, not a village but a town. You expect to see the cowboys come riding down Main Street any moment, but the town also has all the Walmarts, Home Depots and Targets to make life easy. There is no doubt Christy and Leighton are making a life for themselves and love their new environment. The dogs are the real winners in this move. They have wonderful places to just run and run.
Thanksgiving day we moved the RV to the parking lot of Christy's apartment and I took a great picture from her front door
You can see the perfect view of the Gallatin Range of Mountains that greets them every morning. we ended up sleeping in the parking lot last night as no one wanted to drive back to the camp site. A cup of coffee this morning, refilled the propane tank ( we used 67 lbs out of 105 lbs capacity) and east we go.
So far the only new addition we have concluded we need is a CB. I have one on my bike and it is good to be able to hear the truckers on a journey like this. Just like the RV GPS we installed it will make the trip just that little easier.
The planned route home is south on I25 to Denver and then east again to Charlotte.
