Sunday 8/19 (If my dates are wrong remember I am on vacation)

I woke up at 5:00 AM and realized that if I did not get on the road quickly I would not go anywhere.

Packed up, looked at the map, decided the Taconic State Parkway looked good and was off.

The TSP was great. As usual I was riding solo and it seemed like nobody was around. You can get used to riding by yourself. Gives you complete control and time to think, or not think, what ever you want.

I counted 5 dear along the road before I jumped onto I-84 towards Scranton, PA. A few miles later I jumped off onto 209 through the Poconos. This was not the road I had hoped for and a quick check of the GPS showed me how to get out of there.

I ended up in Gettysburg, PA. As I was pulling into the camp site I saw Pete. He had just arrived. Tammy and Jake came next. We swapped stories of the last week before turning in. Long day in lots of rain.
