Cathy, Christy and I spent the past week at the beach. Kiawah Island is a great place and we had a great time playing in the sand and eating very well. Pete, Tammy, Jake and Brad joined us for a few days and the talk was all about the trip. Pete has left for Finland and will be pulling all his gear together when he returns. Brad's friend Eric arrives on the 12th and the discussion has truned to what time we start. I think we are all in agreement that we will be riding as the sun comes up which I think will be a theme on this trip to avoid the heat.
Today is Fathers Day and Christy and I will spend it with me teaching her how to drive - I can't think of a better way to spend the day. Then we will go to Dick's to pick up my last few needs for the trip as I will be busy each weekend between now and July 13th.
26 days to go.
As a foot note to a previous post I was not drawn for the the 2007 Iron Butt Rally. While disappointed I am glad I entered (thanks Cathy) and will try again in 2 years.

Glad the fuse is sorted out. The only place I know to begin is by finding a volt meter and tracing wires - not exactly fun. Sounds as hot as one would expect - keep up the hydration. Riding with wet shirts on can make a big difference. Bet you are haveing fun; enjoy the views at the rim...
