Well, we have had a terrible time trying to coordinate 2 weeks away from the office but both Pete and I have finally submitted paperwork to take July 13 - July 28 off. Taking the 2 weeks will be hard for both of us, but we both agree to stop along the way and check in with the office. Somehow we have to find space to take our laptops, and as we have agreed to camp, we will need to find hotspots along the way.
With the GS sold I had a few bucks in the pocket so I purchased the Highway Pegs for the bike. They are ridiculously expensive ($20 bucks plus $340 shipping) but one could say that riding across America and back in 2 weeks is ridiculous.
The countdown has begun. 133 days until we depart.
